TV Guide: The Voice Finale

This is actually more than a week late! Even from my latest posts, I haven’t been updating much! But The Voice deserves this final post because I’ve been posting about this for its entire season and its not right to not include the finale!

To recap, the final four consists of the best contestants from each time – Tony Lucca for Team Adam, Jermaine Paul for Team Blake, Juliet Simms for Team CeeLo and Chris Mann for Team Christina.

For this, I will do it in order of performances then put the results and winners commentary below 🙂

Jermaine Paul

  • Song: I Believe I Can Fly
  • Remarks: This has to be Jermaine’s winning piece. And I agree with Christina that this song was really made for him and so appropriate for him to sing as his final song. It was very, very powerful and spot on, that it actually trended for a whole day!
  • Personal Vote: 2nd place

Tony Lucca

  • Song: 99 Problems
  • Remarks: To be honest, I am not familiar with the song, but I think Tony Lucca could have done better with a more powerful anthem to end the season. It did show his prowess, but I hope he did this song early in the live performance season and did something really powerful, to compete with the other finalists.
  • Personal Vote: 4th Place

Chris Mann

  • Song: You Raised Me Up
  • Remarks: I loved that he chose this song as his final song because this is a very powerful and anthem-like song that would be great for a finale. However, this has version has already been done by Josh Groban as they have the same type of voice. But listening to it further, he tweaked it a bit to make it very Chris, and I liked his version very much. Still reminds me of Mark Feehily of Westlife!
  • Personal Vote: 3rd Place

Juliet Simms

  • Song: Freebird
  • Remarks: I love love love Juliet and she looked so gorgeous! Another great song choice, not to all out rock-y like her previous performance, a little subdued in the beginning but rocked out and reminded us of her over-all vocal rock goddess prowess in the end.
  • Personal Vote: WINNER

The Results

And the winner is Jermaine Paul! After seeing the performances, I was happy with the result and this was very well deserved, although my personal favorite was Juliet. In his performance, I can already see in Jermaine that he is already a winner.

And congratulations also to Blake on the win. I honestly didn’t see it coming, thinking he had the weakest contestants of the bunch, but he took a chance on Jermaine, someone with a completely different singing style, and found a gem in him. Same goes for Jermaine for taking a chance on Blake even if they came from different backgrounds. He was very, very lucky to have chosen Blake as a coach, because he wouldn’t stand a chance against Juliet if they were both on CeeLo’s team.

TV Guide: The Voice Semi-Finals

This week, it is now down to the ELITE EIGHT or the semi-finals. Each team has two remaining members that will battle each other out for the remaining slot in the finals.

In this semi-finals round, all contestants from all teams give their performances on the first night. During the results show, the coaches divide 100 points between their two contestants. Later on, votes from the viewers are then added to the scores, and the person with the most votes goes to the finals.

*SPOILERS*

For this review, I will give a rundown per team, starting with the person advancing to the finals, then the eliminated contestant. I will also post the result show footage as well.

Team Adam

Tony Lucca

  • Song: How You Like Me Now
  • Remarks: I think this is a definite improvement for Tony and he was getting better since his Britney stint last week, and I liked his performance, though he is kind of bordering Mark Anthony. I just feel Adam has a major bias for Tony from the beginning so it was no surprise he’s in the finals.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: FINALIST

Katrina Parker

  • Song: Killing Me Softly
  • Remarks: Katrina has grown on me since the live performances started so I was really rooting for her to go to the finals. I just love her warm and sexy voice and she looks so gorgeous!
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Eliminated

Result

Notes: Tony Lucca is the only finalist that didn’t get 50% of America’s vote, scoring only 48%. If Adam didn’t give him more votes, Katrina had a chance at the finals.

Team Blake

Jermaine Paul

  • Song: Open Arms
  • Remarks: Another crowd rousing performance by Jermaine, but I think he played really safe today with that choice of song. I think he thinks he’s got it in the bag already, which I think he should rightfully think so. I loved how he played his notes well. Blake’s got his finalist already.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Finalist

Erin Willett

  • Song: Without You
  • Remarks: Interesting take on the funky David Guetta song, and I am loving her rendition. Its a great song for her final performance and I’m proud of Erin on her vast improvement and consistent stellar performances.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

Results

Notes: Jermaine Paul was the clear winner, scoring over 70% from the audience votes after Blake gave them an even 50-50 playing ground.

Team Ceelo

Juliet Simms

  • Song: It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World
  • Remarks: Another super solid performance from Juliet Simms and I just love her voice and how she plays with it. And she can really rock! And she did so by showing she can take over this almost man’s world finals by being the only female contestant in the final 4.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: FINALIST

Jamar Rogers

  • Song: If You Don’t Know Me By Now
  • Remarks: Unfortunately there’s no video of this on the NBCTheVoice You Tube channel for me to copy, so I can’t really make some comments because I can’t really remember how Jamar’s performance went. Jamar is actually a likeable person and if Juliet Simm’s did badly that night, I would be glad to have him also in the finals. But Juliet is on a league of her own, so hands down to Jamar for his great great stint on the show. I have no doubt Jamar will do great after this.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

Results

Note: Juliet is clear winner, scoring 60 percent with her coach and 61 percent with the viewers. If Ceelo had gone 50-50, Juliet would still have won.

Team Christina

Chris Mann

  • Song: Ave Maria
  • Remarks: Its so nice to hear Chris Mann pull an Andrea Boticelli to show everyone just how talented he is. The guy has such a beautiful voice and I am glad he did this because all his past performances sounded really forced because he was trying to go mainstream for the show to get people to relate to him. But again I will express my thoughts that he doesn’t need to be a finalist because this guy can already make a career out of his present exposure in the voice and he will have his own following whether he wins or not.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Finalist

Lindsey Paveo

  • Song: Skinny Love
  • Remarks: This is by far my favorite performance by Lindsey next to her blind audition performance. She is in her element and her voice just shown through. I was so disappointed she got eliminated (though it was a very close call), because (no offense to Chris and the Mann fans), Lindsey deserves to be in the finals because of the way she just grew during the show. Her voice is so unique that it’s so perfect for mainstream. I’ll only say this now, but I am annoyed at Adam for being so biased towards Lindsey (do I sense bitterness?) when he’s asked to comment on her. I will definitely miss her on the show but I’ll support her on her endeavors after.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Eliminated

Results

Notes: This was the closest result between the teams, with Christine evening the playing field, and Chris Mann scoring only 54% of the viewership votes.

TV Guide: The Voice Quarterfinals (Team Adam)

Now onto Team Adam.

*Spoilers*

I will begin with person with the top votes that America saved. Then to the judges’ save. Then the two eliminated contestants (first being the one with last chance, the last being the one automatically eliminated).

Tony Lucca

  • Song: Hit Me Baby One More Time
  • Remarks: Super good move by Adam and Tony to deal with past straight in the face by doing his fellow Mouseketeer Britney Spears’ first big hit, and turning it into his very own. I was beginning to get worried that he was getting too dated in his last performance but he was lucky to have sailed through this round. I think Adam is really holding on to him as one of his best bets for the team that’s why he went to extreme lengths (like listening to Christina).
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Katrina Parker

  • Song: Jar Of Hearts
  • Remarks: I really thought this was an Adele song, but it was a Christina Perri song! She did such a good job and it was such a pleasant to listen to. I am so glad decided to save her. It was a very Adele-ish performance, but its Katrina Parker through and through.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: Perfect
  • Remarks: I just love her. I am so glad Adam saved her once again becuase she has one of the most powerful and easy to listen to voice on the performance.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Mathai

  • Song: I’m Like A Bird
  • Remarks: I think this was a very safe choice for Mathai because she has the same style and vocal range as Nelly Furtado so it didn’t quite show her uniqueness. But she had very good vocals on the song.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: Cowboy Casanova
  • Remarks: She’s back to her sassyness, and I think her vocals are just spot on. But Christina remarked Mathai’s lack of connection with her songs, which has been her problem for some time now. She sang great but I think Adam is looking for power, someone to beat up the other team’s final two, and Katrina is just that person.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

Pip

  • Song: Somewhere Only We Know
  • Remarks: Pip was a disappointment for this week. As much as I liked Pip’s vocal ability and the song, they just didn’t match, making him have a weak and pitchy performance.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

So far, Adam’s been spot on with his choice. He correctly picked Pip to be eliminated because of his poor performance. Pip is also risky to have because Katrina and Tony are his best performers and he would definitely get the ladies’ votes.

So far I agree with the coaches Adam and CeeLo this week on their choices.

TV Guide: The Voice Quarter-Finals (Team CeeLo)

The following week its teams from Adam and CeeLo for the live show quarter finals. To me, these groups have really stepped up their game knowing how the competition will go.

Let’s start of with Team CeeLo:

*Spoilers*

I will begin with person with the top votes that America saved. Then to the judges’ save. Then the two eliminated contestants (first being the one with last chance, the last being the one automatically eliminated).

Jamar Rogers

  • Song: It’s My Life
  • Remarks: Jamar has just this powerful voice and youthful charm that makes him the contestant to beat for Team CeeLo. I like his song choice, which is a rock anthem and it shows the power and versatility of his voice. Its also the best song to pick in this stage of the competition. There were some pitch problems, but he really set the night going.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Juliet Simms

  • Song: Cryin’
  • Remarks: I swear Juliet Simms gets better and prettier with each performance. I am loving the gothic fallen angel look and her rendition of Aerosmith’s classic 90s anthem.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: Torn
  • Remarks: I like this softer but still edgy side of Juliet. But I prefer the rocked-out over the top version. She is my strongest contender for Team Ceelo, and I personally think that America should have voted for this one as the best for Team Ceelo. Although Cheese put up a good fight for the last chance, if I were CeeLo, I definitely would have picked Juliet for her powerful and unique vocals.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Cheesa

  • Song: I Have Nothing
  • Remarks: I am a bit biased because this has been typically done – Filipina singing Whitney Houston (think Jessica Sanchez and Charice Pempengco). Although she did a wonderful and flawless rendition, there is till no uniqueness to her voice that will make me consider her twice over other contestants.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: Already Gone
  • Remarks: Oh no. Too late. This is actually the first time that I actually heard some variety to her vocals that makes Cheesa unique.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

James Massone

  • Song: Just The Way You Are
  • Remarks: James has just this smooth sweet voice that reminds of members of boybands. No wonder this cutie has the way with this ladies. I agree though with Christina and Blake that this was the wrong choice this time in the competition. I think CeeLo has an over all plan. He knows James will win for the votes, but isn’t his most prized artist on the team. I think he’s been saving his top two slots for Jamar and Juliet. Between James and Cheesa, Cheesa is most likely to have lesser votes than Jamar and Juliet and won’t take top spot, unlike James who might win at the votes and Ceelo will be forced to eliminate on of his two winner contestants. James’ wrong song choice is just the reason Ceelo needs to eliminate him. Just a thought. Because that’s what I would have done, too.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Eliminated

TV Guide: The Voice Quarter Finals (Team Blake)

And now for team Blake:

*Spoilers*

I will begin with person with the top votes that America saved. Then to the judges’ save. Then the two eliminated contestants (first being the one with last chance, the last being the one automatically eliminated).

Jermaine Paul

  • Song: Against All Odds
  • Remarks: Jermaine has got to be one of the best voices and performers on the Team Blake, and among all the contestants on the team, I personally think he is the most deserving to be on the top spot. He has the training and experience and needs the exposure the Voice brings, however unlike Chris Mann from Team Christina, he is not niche market so he needs to win the Voice to help him stand out from his contemporaries. A beautiful and classy rendition of the Phil Collins song, and I personally think he is dancing with joy that he went with Blake instead of CeeLo to give him that edge.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Erin Willett

  • Song: Set Fire to The Rain
  • Remarks: Not my favorite performance from Erin, but she still delivered with her powerful voice.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: Proud Mary
  • Remarks: For her last chance, she made an excellent choice of for this one because Proud Mary is one of those diva songs that needs a powerful voice to sing it, and Erin is just that. Personally, I would have voted her out earlier if I were Blake because she doesn’t stand out from the other contestants from the other teams. But since she didn’t get voted off in the instant eliminations, and had to go up against Raelynn, she gets my vote. If she went up against Jordis or Jermaine, I would have not saved her.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

RaeLynn

  • Song: She’s Country
  • Remarks: A sassy number from our resident country princess. I like the little flirtiness she did with the song, however its too country for my taste and I think she should have been voted off ages ago.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: If I Die Young
  • Remarks: I actually liked this song and she did a good job with it, however I am not a fan of country and I find her voice too twangy. I just wish she loses a bit of the twang to make her more mainstream. I would have kept her for the result show, but would easily eliminate her if she pitted up herself against anybody else from the team.
  • Personal Vote: For elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

Jordis Unga

  • Song: A Little Bit Stronger
  • Remarks: Every week, I favor her voice more and more as time passes. And she did a beautiful and heartfelt rendition of the song and its great to see this vulnerable side of her. I would have liked her to advance to the semi-finals versus Jermaine instead of Erin, so I dunno what Blake was thinking for instantly eliminating her.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Eliminated

TV Guide: The Voice Quarter Finals (Team Christina)

Its now time for the Quarter finals on the Voice. Each team now has four members that will battle it out for the two spots per team in the semi-finals.

This week it was team Christina and Blake to first go head to head with each other. The first episode of the week are the live performances of the top four team members. There’s a twist in the end, where the coaches will automatically eliminate one of their team members at the end of the show and will not be counted for saving.

The results show episode announces the person from each team who has the top votes from the viewers and that person automatically goes to the semi-finals. The remaining two contestants will perform again for their last chances, and the coach will get to pick who will advance to the semi-finals.

First up, the results for team Christina.

*Spoilers*

I will begin with person with the top votes that America saved. Then to the judges’ save. Then the two eliminated contestants (first being the one with last chance, the last being the one automatically eliminated).

Chris Mann

  • Song: Viva La Vida
  • Remarks: Kudos to Chris Mann for stepping out of his comfort zone and doing such a powerful piece such as this one. I am biased because this blog is Viva La Vida and named after this song. But then again, no personality from Chris Mann. I personally will choose him for elimination because he doesn’t need to win the voice because he is already talented as it is, and just needs The Voice for exposure.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Lindsey Paveo

  • Song: Part of Me
  • Remarks: A brave choice for Lindsey but not my favorite performance from her. It was too theatrical and the Katy Perry song didn’t do her voice justice.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: Please Don’t Go
  • Remarks: Excellent, excellent choice for her last chance. It was a completely different take on the more pop-dance song and made it her own. The song actually made more sense now, as its actually a sad and heartbreaking song!
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Semi-Finalist

Ashley De La Rosa

  • Song: Foolish Games
  • Remarks: I love Jewel, and Ashley did a good job on the song. Her voice is very powerful and I agree with the fellow coaches that she surprised us all with how powerful her voice is. Every week she gets better and better. But then this is not American Idol and the Voice has a completely different format with its quick eliminations. Her voice is not as unique sounding as the others.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Safe

  • Song: You and I
  • Remarks: Also a very good rendition and she can do a little country twang. As I said in the previous remarks, not good enough to be THE voice.
  • Personal Vote: For elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

Jesse Campbell

  • Song: Halo
  • Remarks: Beautifully done. I had some problems in the beginning, but Jesse put his magic at the middle and towards the end. I am pissed at Christina for letting this one go, but she has her own reasons why she chose to eliminate Jesse. I would have picked him for my top 2.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Eliminated

TV Guide: The Voice Live Performances (Team Adam)

Ofcourse I saved the best for last 🙂

Here we go with team Adam!

Tony Lucca

  • Song: In Your Eyes
  • Remarks: I swear he reminds me of Marc Anthony. This guy is really, really talented and I love the way his voice sounds. I agree with Christina that it lacks versatility and its very dated because it came from the 1980s, so it wasn’t so up to date and relatable.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Safe

Pip

  • Song: When We Were Young
  • Remarks: I just love Pip’s voice! Its so distinct and so easy to listen to, and it also helps that Pip has so much stage presence and he has the crowd on their feet. His style needs a lot more improving, but the bowtie is really cute
  • Personal Vote: Safe
  • Result: Safe

Mathai

  • Song: Ordinary People
  • Remarks: I like Mathai’s rendition very much, its smooth and sweet. The difference between her and Erin Martin is that her voice has a sweetness to it that its not annoying. Props to her reaching her high notes.
  • Personal Vote: Safe
  • Result: Safe

For last chance:

Katrina Parker

  • Song: Tonight, Tonight
  • Remarks: I was so shocked to hear her sing this Smashing Pumpkins song and she really made it her own! Her voice is just so wonderful to listen to, and with the advent of Adele, pretty plus size singers are the in thing now. But she did a really good performance and I liked it.
  • Personal Vote: Safe
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Don’t Speak
  • Remarks: It was a little pitchy on some parts in the beginning, but I just love how she sings, so smooth and sweet.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Saved by Adam

Kim Yarbrough

  • Song: Rolling In The Deep
  • Remarks: This was a very obvious choice for someone like Kim or Katrina maybe. She delivered a flawless performance but I was looking a different oomph from Kim or the element of surprise.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Spotlight
  • Remarks: Again a very safe performance and I am realizing now that her voice is very one dimensional. Powerful but could only fit certain song genres so there was no wow factor for me.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

Karla Davis

  • Song: Airplanes
  • Remarks: Absolutely wrong song choice. Her voice is very distinct and sweet, but not something I like listening to with the song. I agree with Blake that the song didn’t allow her to showcase her vocals properly.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: I Can’t Make You Love Me
  • Remarks: Much, much, much better performance and unfortunately this was the only time we ever get to see this. She did very well, but personally her voice is not my favorite.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: For Elimination

TV Guide: The Voice Live Performances (Team CeeLo)

I am again posting a little bit late, but just in time before the top 16 shows in the US tomorrow morning here in Manila.

Team CeeLo and Team Adam goes on for the second week of live performances before qualifying into the quarterfinals.

Team CeeLo is up first:

James Massone

  • Song: Don’t Know Why
  • Remarks: This boy has a way of charming the ladies and I found his voice really sweet as he took on this song. And he’s got that boyish charm that just melts. And I admire the boy for having his own personal style and branding.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: SAFE

Juliet Simms

  • Song: Roxanne
  • Remarks: I am biased because she sang MY SONG, but she totally rocked it with her super powerful vocals! I was very, very impressed and she added her own flavor to the song, that Sting would be proud. I wasn’t a fan of hers in the beginning, but just like Blake, I began to get what she can do.
  • Personal Vote: SAFE
  • Result: SAFE

Jamar Rogers

  • Song: Are You Gonna Go My Way?
  • Remarks: Cool hairdo from Jamar and I like this kid 🙂 His voice is smooth yet powerful and distinct. And he gave all his energy and strength into this song, and I enjoyed his rendition very much!
  • Personal Vote: SAFE
  • Result: SAFE

Those that needed Last Chances:

Cheesa

  • Song: Don’t Leave Me This Way
  • Remarks: She’s got a really powerful and whole voice that I like listening to, but I am not a fan of her physically. She did really well and it really matched her voice and showed her power. Well, she’s also part Filipino so I’ll give props for that.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: All By Myself
  • Remarks: Another powerful performance but as Adam pointed out in the live show, I am also looking for that thing that separates her from the others and makes her distinct. Even with this song she hasn’t done that yet.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Saved by Ceelo

Tony Vincent

  • Song: Everybody Wants To Rule The World
  • Remarks: This guy can really perform and his vocals are just so well trained and developed. However, the performance was a bit safe, and I also wanted to hear a bit more from him with his voice because I know he could really rock this out.
  • Personal Vote: SAFE
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Sweet Dreams
  • Remarks: I really like his vocal range and he really, really reminds me of Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. And I am so glad he sang this song for his Last Chance because it really showed of his strengths: 1) his vocal range, 2) his versatility and 3) his stage presence.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Eliminated

Erin Martin

  • Song: Walk Like An Egyptian
  • Remarks: Well for someone who wants to prove she is more than a pretty face, this was the absolutely wrong song choice because it was all theatrics and did nothing to her vocal performance. It was fun, theatrical, but I’m not buying it because anyone can sing and perform that song.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Your Song
  • Remarks: She actually redeems herself for me with the simple make-up and simple song, which makes her look really vulnerable and her beauty just shines. But her yodelling is kinda getting really old.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Eliminated

TV Guide: The Voice Live Performances (Team Christina)

Its also Team Christina’s week, so lets take a look at the results and performances. I actually like this team as Christina really chose some powerhouses:

*SPOILER ALERT*

Chris Mann

  • Song: Bridge Over Trouble Water
  • Remarks: Personally, Chris doesn’t need the voice because hands down he has a very beautiful and well developed voice. I though his choice is very, very safe and very predictable.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: SAFE

Lindsey Paveo

  • Song: Somebody That I Used To Know
  • Remarks: She’s my personal favorite and I just love the uniqueness of her voice and her over-all package. Its a surprising choice of song but she definitely delivered. Its delightfully haunting and mysterious. Agree with Adam on needing a little oomph to show how powerful her voice is, but over-all, still one of my favorite performances.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: SAFE

Jesse Campbell

  • Song: What A Wonderful World
  • Remarks: Sweet. Just sweet for single dad Jesse. I love how he plays with the notes, and listening to him just makes you think of a smooth piano or saxophone. And just so pleasant to listen to.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: SAFE

Here are those that needed another chance to be saved:

Ashley De La Rosa

  • Song: Right Through You
  • Remarks: A suprise performance as this girl could actually rock it and has some amazing power in her voice. I found myself watching and listening to the whole performance. Agree with Adam on her being the most improved.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Paris (Ooh La La)
  • Remarks: Wow! She had my attention from the first note! Something very Christina sounding. And she showed her rocker chops on. Her voice is surprisingly sweet with an edge. This girl is really fighting for that spot.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: Christina’s Choice

Moses Stone

  • Song: Stronger/Power
  • Remarks: Team Christina bringing their A-Game! He reminds me of Will.I.Am vocally. And he’s a very entertaining performer, though not so sure of his vocals.
  • Personal Vote: Bottom 3
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Breakeven
  • Remarks: I am glad he got another chance because we actually hear him sing without the rapping part, and his voice is really smooth and so pleasant to listen to. But not enough for me.
  • Personal Vote: For Elimination
  • Result: ELIMINATED

Sera Hill

  • Song: Find Your Love
  • Remarks: She has a really powerful diva-like voice that just delivers, and reminds me a lot of Mary J. Blige. And she has so much stage presence and just loved her performance. Was disappointed to see her in the bottom 3.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: Bottom 3

  • Song: Vision of Love
  • Remarks: Another solid performance from Sera and the voice was perfect for her and I love how she showcased her vocal range. Her voice is always so clear. I was disappointed she didn’t make it.
  • Personal Vote: For Saving
  • Result: ELIMINATED
