Inspiration: The Queen B comes to MNL!

Apart from the Hollywood stars mentioned in my previous post, it was just confirmed today that another Hollywood celebrity is coming to Manila!

Leighton Meester

The Queen B herself, Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl fame, is coming to Manila this week to also grace Philippine Fashion Week as she is officially part of the Penshoppe All-Stars, together with Thai superstar Mario Mauer, Ian Somerhalder, Zac Efron and her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick.

Hollywood Stars coming to Manila this week!

Hollywood stars are invading the country this week and its really exciting to all see them!

Front-lining them is Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga, who is gracing the country once again for a two night concert at the newly opened Mall of Asia Arena. She has just arrived today.

Ian Somerhalder

Another celebrity who is already enroute to Manila is The Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder who will be here in Manila for a week to guest star as one of Penshoppe’s (a local clothing store) brand ambassador. He is rumoured to be modeling in Penshoppe’s Philippine Fashion Week event.

Last May 17, Somerhalder posted this on his twitter account, confirming his visit to the country: @iansomerhalder See you soon PHILIPPINES! 😉 Let’s rock this #PENSHOPPEAllStars

Just a few moments ago, he tweeted: @iansomerhalder Philippines here I come…:)

Joe Jonas

Camp Rock star and 1/3 of the musical act the Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas is also slated to come to the Philippines next week to promote Bench, another local clothing store, as one of its endorses.

Penshoppe and Bench have been very active about using Hollywood celebrities in their campaigns as of late, with Ed Westwick and Zac Efron have been endorshing Penshoppe, while Bruno Mars, David Archuleta, Lucille Hale and Michael Trevino (also from the Vampire Diaries) have posed for Bench.

Project 365: I <3 Little Feet :) (Day 139)

I just love cute little shoes 🙂 These are Rocco’s (my high school friend Steph’s son).

Fashion Police: Anne Curtis and Francis Libiran on ANTM

Great great news for fashionistas and big fans of America’s Next Top Model (like me!).

Filipino fashion is making its way into the international scene big time. Apart from dressing Hollywood celebrities on the red carpet, Filipino designers are also making its way into the fashion modeling scene.

For this season of ANTM, Filipina fashion icon Anne Curtis and top Filipino designer Francis Libiran will be showcased on the show. I am a fan of those two and am quite happy that Filipinos are really making their mark in the fashion industry.

Watch for it on the April 25 episode!

Fashion Police: Orange

I was never a fan of orange. I think its too bright and I look like a pumpkin wearing it. But it has become one of summer’s official colors, and I sampled wearing a bright orange blazer for work and loved it!

Please excuse my sister’s messy room behind me 🙂

Project 365: I <3 Braids! (Day 109)

Been sporting the Katniss Everdeen look lately by keeping my hair up in a braid to battle the summer heat. 🙂

Project 365: I <3 Polka Dots (Day 103)

One of my favorite trends is polka dots! Thought I’d wear my new polkadotted shirt that day.

Project 365: I <3 new glasses! (Day 99)

Got myself some new frames for Easter and I just love it :))) matches my newly colored hair and the frames are not so heavy on the face.

Project 365: I <3 Comfy Clothes! (Day 67)

Summer is finally here and the weather in Manila is 10x hotter than Seoul so it was great to start wearing summer outfits!

I wore a a while shirt from Forever 21 and green jeggings from Uniqlo (my fave!)

The Oscars 2012

Its Hollywood’s most glamourous night as the entire movie industry gives acknowledgements to the best files, production and actors for the past year. And it is also fashion’s most watched event as the stars walk the red carpet in the hottest trends this year, and every fashion police is watching their every move.

The night goes out to the black and white silent movie The Artist which garnered 5 awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor:

See the complete list of winners here: Oscars.go.com

But ofcourse all eyes are on the red carpet as everyone got a glimpse of who attended and what were they wearing.

Some of my favorite looks included:

Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams and Emma Stone

These three ladies looked stunning in their various shades of red/orange/whatever color pantone these may be.

Angelina Jolie

This hot mom of 6 can still work the red carpet with this sexy black number showing a lot of leg.

Rooney Mara

I actually like this look, very old Hollywood glam with the bangs, red lipstick and flowy white gown.

Milla Jovovich

Same trend goes for Milla Jovovich. Loved her hair and make-up.

There are a lot more fantabulous looking gowns, but I will just limit it to these.

No one wants to be part of the worst dressed list in Hollywood, but still, some manage to make the list:

Sacha Baron Cohen

I don’t need to explain. Must be taking tips from Nicki Minaj.

Sandra Bullock

Aside from the flawless hair and make-up, I found this outfit very blah on her.

Anna Faris

Not flattering at all, especially with the hair and make-up!

Glenn Close

The color was too drab and made her look really old – like she was channeling her Cruella deVille character instead of the Devil Wears Prada!

Another glamourous night for Hollywood and congratulations to all the winners!
